About Our Ministry

We provide for their immediate needs. We provide clothing, tents, sleeping bags, blankets, personal hygiene items, and snacks.

No. We never give them any money.

No, we give them resources and places to contact to look for housing or to get on lists for possible housing. Homeless individuals need to do that work for themselves as we would not have all the information needed, etc., and they need to take on that responsibility to secure housing if available.

No, we are a 501c3 non-profit ministry that was started by individuals, and we are not directly related to or run by a church.

We go to Jefferson County, St. Louis County, and South St. Louis.

You can donate financially by cash or check and using Venmo or PayPal. If you are interested in donating clothing, tents, supplies, etc., please call 314-898-0566 to arrange to meet or pick up the items.

Yes, we are a 501c3, so all donations are tax-deductible.

We have developed relationships with the homeless people we see each week, and they become our friends. We provide their physical needs by giving them food and clothing, and we take the time to talk with them, listen to their stories, share Christ with them, and pray with them. We are very close to many of the friends we see weekly.

We go out each Thursday evening and also one Saturday a month.

We have a few churches and businesses that give us donations frequently, but most of our donations come from individuals who support us. Learn ways you can help us.

Volunteers

We have safeguards in place and security with us each week. We have never run into a dangerous situation up to this point, but we are always prepared and have safety measures that we adhere to.

We have a large group of volunteers on a rotating schedule so it may be only once every 2-3 months.

No. All volunteers ride in one of the two ministry vehicles that travel together.

Fill out an application. Once the application is received, you’ll be contacted when there is an available spot, which could be a few months after completing your application.

We go out every Thursday at 5 pm and one Saturday a month.

We do not take out anyone under the age of 16 because of insurance reasons. If your child is 16 or older and wants to serve, they also need to complete an application.

You don’t need to bring anything when serving, as we have everything that we will be handing out. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes for safety reasons.

We are usually gone for approximately 4 hours.

You will be talking to them, listening to their stories, praying with them if you are comfortable doing so, and just being there for them. The more you go out – the more comfortable you become doing this ministry.

No other formal commitments. Please pray for the people that you encountered when out doing ministry. Prayer is our most powerful tool!
